Tundra

My little sister, Jennifer, is living in Nunavut right now, teaching at a school in Pangnirtung. Aided only by a couple of photos she’s posted and our short but sweet telephone conversations, this is what I imagine her surroundings looking like. I made the sun teeny tiny and set against a melancholic sky to reflect the measly 7 hours of daylight she’s experiencing right now.

I plan on making the trek up to visit her come this spring: a brighter, more cheerier time of year to take in the arctic splendour, she assured me.
