history of photo sharing

I came across these packets in a box of my grandparent’s old photos a while back. Β (click on the image for a closer look) And judging by this chance collection, there must have been quite a few brands of photo mounting corners to choose from in the 1930’s.

The mounting corner is sort of a transient device if you think about it. It secures something as delicate as a photograph quick and efficiently, and enables a painless removal should you change your mind.
